How to write-protect a floppy diskette. Do this with your Essentials diskette.

1. Today's lab: Project 3 in the Word 97 Essentials lab book.

2. If you have your Essentials diskette, copy the necessary documents from the diskette onto a folder on your G: drive.

   How do I do this?

   If you don't have the diskette do this:

   1. Open the Start menu and choose Run....

   2. A Run dialog box will open up. In the Open field type in

      \\ phoenix\cs102

      (Note the backslashes.) Press OK.

   3. If all goes well, now a folder will open: CS 102 on phoenix. Within this folder find the Word 97 Essentials folder and open it. There you'll find the practice documents.

   4. Copy the document you want from this folder to you G: drive.
