One Announcement: A word processor/typewriter must be used for producing what you hand-in for homework 1. Handwritten work will not be accepted.

Lab

If you are unsure of a step, stop and call me over. Don't assume anything.

You may be held responsible for anything you damage, regardless of the circumstances.

1. Take cover off PC. Carefully observe motherboard and identify components. Ground yourself to remove static electricity before touching anything inside.
2. Very carefully, move IDE cable for harddrive/CD-ROM from the secondary controller connector to the master controller connector (both on motherboard). Don't force the cable.
3. Replace PC cover
4. Proceed with Unix Installation
