The purpose of these materials is to pinpoint those materials which will be covered on the quiz and to remind you of what material has been covered in class, as an aid to your study. Here are items covered by this quiz:

1. Passwords: Explain what constitutes a good password and a bad password. Why are passwords important.

2. Drives: Which drive letters are used for what drives? Networked drives move around with you. Local drives don't.

3. What's a quota? How do you deal with the situation when you reach your quota?

4. Parts of the window: title bar, menu bar, tool bar, scroll bar, status bar. Minimize, maximize, close buttons.

5. Search tools: directory search tool, search engine, combined directory/search engine, multi-engine. What are they? Advantages, disadvantages?
