Class web page: http://phoenix.goucher.edu/~jillz/cs320

Course Description and Goals: We will use a top-down approach to Computer Graphics using OpenGL and Java.  Projects will be given using both 2D and 3D graphics.  Some advanced topics such as physics and lighting will be covered at an introductory level.

Course Objectives:

Course Mechanics:  Lab work will be given for each of the topics that will include work to be turned in for grading.  Discussion of course work among students is desirable and encourage but all work handed in for grading must be a result of an individual effort.  Late lab work will be accepted at most one class meeting late with a hefty 25% penalty.

In addition to the labs, several projects of larger scope will be assigned and these also must be the result of an individual effort.  Late projects will be accepted with a 10% deduction per day late.

Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. (See the Honor code for definition and disposition of academic dishonesty.)

Grading: Your course grade will be based on the following.
    1 Exam   25%
    Labs      25%

Projects 50%
