Finding Information on the Web

CS 102

60 pts., due Oct. 18

Answer each of the following, which you may find on pp. 362-363 of the textbook:

  1. Find It Online: 17. It is easy to get this problem wrong. Be sure to check several sources. Don't confuse the date of an online article with the date of an attack. Hint: the attacks occurred on separate days.

  2. Find It Online: 19

  3. Find It Online: 21

  4. Find It Online: 23

  5. Find It Online: 31. It is easy to get this problem wrong, as well. Check several sources. Be careful to distinguish opinion from fact (the actual ruling of a court).

Your answers will be evaluated using the following criteria: Use Microsoft Word or another word processor to write your answers and then e-mail them to kelliher AT DOMAIN goucher.edu, but only to that address, by the beginning of class on the due data. If you use a word processor other than MS Word, you must send the document formatted and saved in Rich Text Format (a .rtf file). A 10% penalty will be applied for each day the assignment is late. After two days I will no longer accept assignments.
